WNC History
Whyteleafe Netball club was formed in 1968, and was originally named Warlingham Netball Club. The club played at the sports centre off Church road before moving to Whyteleafe Football Club in 1988 where the name changed.
The club started with two teams playing every other week before expanding to 3/4 when they moved to Whyteleafe. The Junior section began in 1983 and continued until 2008. At one point the club had five competitive teams playing every Saturday, as well as U18 and U16 teams plus a full junior section (nearly 100 members).
Many of the junior members of the club stayed on to play in the senior section, and some of those juniors are still members of the club to this day!
It's not just the home ground which has changed over the years, the kit has too! For many years WNC played in Gold and Brown, before switching to Navy and Gold in the late 90's before finally settling on Navy Blue and Yellow in the mid 2000's. Unsurprisingly there were no complaints when the Brown was switched to Navy Blue!
